This American classic carefully and unsentimentally paints the events of small-town life in Grover's Corners, New Hampshire, where nothing much happens and life pushes on no matter what. The play takes you through the lives of two All-American families growing up and experiencing love, life, and death. The main theme that Wilder tries to convey is that even the most insignificant, unimportant things in life need to be appreciated.
