Dear Educator,
Vicksburg Theatre Guild is presenting “A Heart Divided” the first two weekends in February (Feb. 2-4 and Feb. 9-11). This play may be of interest to you and your students.
“A Heart Divided” is a contemporary play that deals with a controversial topic in a delicate, thoughtful manner. The play actually takes the form of a debate on the Confederate battle flag. The characters address the audience directly, and the audience is the jury.
This production is an excellent opportunity to examine both social issues and modern play writing. The play is written by Cherie Bennett and Jeff Gottesfeld, nationally acclaimed authors who are currently writing for The Young and the Restless.
