Character Breakdown

        Storytellers 1, 2, & 3

These characters are important for setting up the world and moving the story forward. Bold personalities and energetic.

        Shrek

He may seem like a big, scary, green ogre, but we discover he’s really just a big fellow with a big heart.

        Fiona

She may appear to be an ideal princess straight from the fairy tale books, but there is more to her than that stereotypical image. She is an audacious young lady with a wonderful sense of humor and -surprisingly- manners akin to those of a teenage boy.

        Young Fiona

        Younger version of Fiona

        Teen Fiona

        Teenage version of Fiona

        Lord Farquaad

A very short man with gargantuan ambition! He is solely interested in gaining as much power as possible.

        Donkey

Is a brash, loud, fast-talking animal with no concept of “quiet time.” Shrek’s loyal and ever-faithful sidekick.

        Dragon

A ferocious fire-breathing dragon but finds a surprising love in Donkey.

        Mama Ogre & Papa Ogre

A dynamic duo who kick off the show with lots of energy.

        Little Ogre

An adorable, sweet little youngin’ who is crucial to building the storyline.

        Pinocchio

The wooden boy who can not tell a lie without being belied by his growing nose. Starts with a sour-mood and ends up being a leader among the Fairy Tale Creatures.

        Pig 1, Pig 2, & Pig 3

The classic three little pigs with a German twist.

        Ugly Duckling

He or she may be bitter about their unfortunate appearance, but they find camaraderie among their fellow Fairy Tale Outcasts.

Mama Bear, Papa Bear, & Baby Bear

        A super trio!

        Wicked Witch

        Cackle, cackle, cackle

        Big Bad Wolf

A “not so scary or threatening” pretty tame wolf who is reduced to wearing Little Red Riding Hood’s Grandmother’s dressing gown.

        Gingy

The Gingerbread Man who runs away like a fugitive from his baking captors.

        Peter Pan

The classic boy who never wanted to grow up! Fun and very physically active role.

        Captain of the Guard

Inherent strength and authority. Doesn’t hesitate to try and keep the Fairy Tale Creatures in their place.

        Knights

Dragon’s background singers who all tried to save Fiona at some point but were taken captive by the dragon.

        Dwarf

Farquaad’s comparably short and grumpy father.

        Fairy Tale Creatures

Additional and extra fun parts such as the Duloc Performers, Guards, Puss in Boots, Rooster, Pied Piper, Rats, Bishop, and other creatures like deer, birds, and other woodland creatures.
