Adapted by Garrett Wallace and set in Victorian England of the mid 19th century, it remained true to the original work. Directed by Garrett Wallace and Dorothy McInnis, our presentation was a mixture of familiar faces and fresh new talent. Andy Szuwalski returned to the stage as Ebenezer Scrooge with Jason Fairchild as Bob Cratchit and Phil Thornton as Fred, Scrooge’s nephew. Also returning to our stage are Bob Alvarado as Jacob Marley; Donna Hardy, Mark Jourdan, and Andrea Fairchild as the three Spirits; Beth Martin as Mrs. Cratchit; and Avery Burrell, Zach Booth, Kevin Arredondo, Haley Hardy, Emilee Booth, and Kiefer Slaton as the Cratchit children. Some of our new thespians were Antoinette Anderson, Anne Weathersby, Michael Kintz, John Myers, and Gerry Allen.

In A Christmas Carol, one of Dickens’ characters comments on soliciting for donations at Christmas time saying, “We choose this time, because it is a time, of all others, when Want is keenly felt, and Abundance rejoices.” In keeping with this and the Spirit of Christmas we asked each person who attended a performance of A Christmas Carol to bring one non-perishable food item which was donated to the community food pantry run by the United Way.
