The repairs to the exterior of the Parkside Playhouse are complete

27 February 2006—Jabe Nappier of Vicksburg started today on the project to repair and repaint the exterior of the Parkside Playhouse. These repaire are the final phase of a building repair project made possible by a 2003 Building Fund for the Arts grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission, and by our generous donors.

New carpet has been installed in the Parkside Playhouse auditorium

25 August 2004—Ken's Carpet  Service of Vicksburg installed the new auditorium carpet today. The carpet replacement is the first phase of a building repair project made possible by a 2003 Building Fund for the Arts grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission, and by our generous donors.

Work starts on the VTG Building Fund for the Arts grant

18 August 2004—Work has started on the building repairs made possible by the 2003 Building Fund for the Arts grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission. The old auditorium carpet has been removed by Ken's Carpet  Service of Vicksburg, and the new carpet has been delivered. Installation of the new carpet will take place around August 27th.

Mississippi Arts Commission Awards a
 Building Fund for the Arts grant to VTG

14 March 2003—The Mississippi Arts Commission has announced its 2003 Building Fund for the Arts grant awards. VTG will receive $31,175 for Parkside Playhouse exterior repairs, building a dumpster enclosure, and replacing the auditorium carpet. This funding from the state must be matched by $20,785 in locally-raised funding. The state and local funding is a 60%-40% cost-sharing arrangement, with the local share to be raised and spent before the state funding is received.
