VTG Youth Group

Requirements
- VTG Members
- $5 yearly dues (August thru July)
- Ages: In the 9th grade in
August – 20 years old
Leadership Positions
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Youth Member on Board (Liaison to the BOD,
only position voted by VTG general membership, the other
positions will be voted on by youth group who meet the
requirements of being in the group)
Learning Environment – Where We See the Group Going
- Read plays, discuss how to direct it, why
would you direct it that way
- Have students read parts of the play, work
on character development, motivation, etc.
- Help raise money to attend MTF and maybe
Perform at MTF
- Have different experts come in to talk to
them
- Ok to discuss and act out possible
“controversial” plays
- Have competitions between 1 act plays
where the audience votes
- Individuals learn monologues which will
help them in college when they try out for plays.
Other Information
- Main Stage Production of the Board of
Directors will oversee the group
- More intense than FTT (this is for the
older kids)
- Meeting at least once a month except
during FTT
- Go to the openings of VTG plays (as a
group, or not)
- Go see other plays at other venues (some
professional & some community
- Financially Self Supporting
- Garage Sales
- Concessions
- Workshops for Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts
- Plays
- Assist Main Stage Plays Building Sets
- Critique upcoming plays for Directors
(with Directors permission)
- Clean theater before productions
Upcoming Year
- Name the Group (VTG Board will have to
Approve)
- Perform 1 to 2 Plays
- Raise money for Scripts, Royalties,
Set
- Ticket Sales will be Split between
Youth Group and VTG
- Rehearse around Main Stage Plays
- Attend MTF
- Parents as Supervisors
- Pay for it yourself

- Gold in the Hills is putting up their set
tomorrow, March 16 at 6:30 pm
- Next Meeting will be in
April/May. We will post
the date on the VTG website and email.
