Congratulations to McKenzie Pollock, Erin Wojtala, and Evan Wojtala. These Fairy Tale actors were awarded three of the 10 scholarships given by New Stage Theatre of Jackson, Mississippi. They are attending the Summer Theatre Camp and will perform in a full production of The Music Man Jr.

Fairy Tale Theatre, established in 1986 by Don and Kathryn Resio, will celebrate its 21st season in 2006. It is open to children ages seven through eighteen. Through Fairy Tale Theatre, children gain experience in many of the areas of theatre such as learning lines, making costumes, helping with set construction, and helping backstage. Many of the props and sets have been made by our parents, whose participation is essential to the success of our program. We need interested adults to help in all areas.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children (age 12 & under). One free adult ticket for every 10 paid child tickets.

• My Sister, The Dragon: Terri Booth — Director, Afton Wilson — Apprentice Director. Performances: 7 p.m. Friday June 23, 7 p.m. Saturday June 24, 2 p.m. Sunday June 25.

• Bedbugs: Richard Van Den Akker — Director, Nikki Jobe — Apprentice Director. Performances: 7 p.m. Thursday June 22, 2 p.m. Saturday June 24, 2 p.m. Sunday June 25.

• Thumbelina: Allie Johnson — Student Director, Jo Beth Britt — Adult Supervisor. Performances: 10 a.m. Thursday June 22, 7 p.m. Friday June 23, 2 p.m. Saturday June 24.

• Snew White (yes, "Snew"): Emily Jackson — Student Director, Earlene McCleave — Adult Supervisor. Performances: 7 p.m. Thursday June 22, 10 a.m. Friday June 23, 7 p.m. Saturday June 24.

  7 p.m. Bedbugs and Snew White

• Friday June 23
  10 a.m. Snew White (Day Care performance)
  7 p.m. My Sister, The Dragon and Thumbelina

• Saturday June 24
  2 p.m. Thumbelina and Bedbugs
  7 p.m. Snew White and My Sister, The Dragon

• Sunday June 25
  2 p.m. My Sister, The Dragon and Bedbugs

• Cast Party/clean up at 5 p.m.

• Orientation was at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday May 13. During Orientation, Fairy Tale Theater participants attended hands-on theater workshops covering stage movements, costumes, make-up, and set construction. Play assignments were announced and scripts were handed out. Fees were due at that time. Anybody who missed Orientation should contact Jo Beth at 601-638-8952.
