Fairy Tale Theatre is open to children ages seven through eighteen. Through Fairy Tale Theatre, children gain experience in many of the areas of theatre such as acting, learning lines, making costumes, helping with set construction, and helping backstage.

Fairy Tale Theatre, established in 1986 by Don and Kathryn Resio, will celebrate its 25th season in 2010. Many of the props and sets have been made by our parents, whose participation is essential to the success of our program. We need interested adults to help in all areas.

Upcoming:

  • Open to all children ages 7-18 years old

  • Rehearsals start on June 1.

  • Performances are June 23-26, 2011.

  • Tickets: $6 adults, $4 children (age 12 & under)

Progress:

  • Auditions were Sat.-Sun. Apr. 16-17, 2011. If your child missed trying out for Fairy Tale Theatre, please fill out the online registration form so we may contact you.

  • Orientation was May 21 at 3 p.m. Registration fees: $35 per child for VTG Family members and $55 per child for other members and non-members are due at Orientation.

  • Save time by downloading and filling out the audition registration forms (106 KB Adobe reader file).
If you are unable to attend the auditions on
Apr. 16-17, 2011, please fill out this online registration form BEFORE Apr. 16 so your child can be considered for a role. Casting decisions will be made Sun. Apr. 17 after auditions, so we will be unable to cast your child without registration information.

  • Letters of application to be a student or apprentice director for 2011 session were due no later than Dec. 31, 2010. Student directors must be at least 16 years old, and apprentice directors must be at least 12 years old.
