Transferring the setting of the Book of Job to the Long Island mansion of a businessman, his wife, a prodigal son, and a pair of kookie twins, Neil Simon has created a hugely funny play while maintaining the integrity of the lesson.

THE SCENE

The action takes place in the Benjamin mansion on the North Shore of Long Island.

ACT I

SCENE ONE Midnight.

SCENE TWO Two weeks later.

The Holocaust after.
