Vicksburg Theatre Guild's Youth Group

The Warren Central High School Drama Department and VTG presented the one-act plays Check Please and Check Please: Take 2 at the Parkside Playhouse Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5. (Note: this is a special production, not part of VTG membership.)

The comedy Check Please examines the horrors of blind dates. The Warren Central High School Drama Department and VTG are performing Check Please at the Parkside Playhouse and at the Mississippi Theatre Association high-school play festival Dec. 5 & 6 at the University of Southern Mississippi. The VTG Youth Theatre Group is performing the sequel, Check Please: Take 2 at the Parkside Playhouse. Check Please: Take 2 follows the protagonists of Check Please as their friends throw them back into the deep end of the dating pool.

Check, Please will be Warren Central High School's entry into the Mississippi Theatre Association Secondary Festival. Warren Central will perform Check, Please at the North Regional Festival in Hattiesburg, MS on December 5-6, 2008.

Check, Please and Check, Please: Take 2 have been a joint production of the Vicksburg Theatre Guild Youth Program and Warren Central High School. The VTG Youth Program is a group composed of students in 9th grade through age 20. The VTG Youth Program produces plays, holds workshops, and helps with the VTG Mainstage season.
