In the near future, an American soldier sits in a combat zone, trapped by a land mine. As he waits to see what will happen to him, scenes from his past, present, and future unfold around him. Tickets were $5.

Don't Say "Macbeth"! The Vicksburg Theatre Guild Youth Program presented Don't Say "Macbeth"! March 6 & 7, 2009. Tickets were $5.

Check Please and Check Please: Take 2. The Warren Central High School Drama Department and VTG are taking the one-act play Check Please to the Mississippi Theatre Association high-school play festival Dec. 5 & 6 at the University of Southern Mississippi. The comedy examines the horrors of blind dates. The VTG Youth Theatre Group is also producing the sequel, Check Please: Take 2 which follows the protagonists of Check Please as their friends throw them back into the deep end of the dating pool. Both plays will be shown at the Parkside Playhouse on Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. Tickets were $5. (Note: this is a special production, not part of VTG membership)

VTG's youth theater group held a workshop August 9 & 10 to discuss the dos and don'ts of auditioning. You must be a member of VTG and of the youth group to participate. During the meeting portion of the day officers were elected.

During the meeting on August 9, the following people were elected as officers for this year:
Haley Sellers - President
Jai Dobson - Vice-President
Cicily Chiraito - Treasurer
Megan Melton - Secretary

There was an informational meeting March 15 and an interest meeting July 26. Notes from the informational meeting. The interest meeting addressed fall activities, including a workshop on auditioning, and auditions for the fall production. For more information contact Amy Bednar.
